I am an avid lover of outdoor adventures and play! Mountain biking, trail running, and hiking are just a few of my favorites. Thanks to my wife I found my love of yoga which helps rehabilitate my at times, broken body and mind. I consider myself a facilitator of fun and hope to share my zest for life with others. When I’m not working, my favorite activities include anything with my wife and two daughters. I will not hesitate to give you a big Wooooohooooo! when you walk through our doors.

We’re excited that you’re getting to know a little bit about the Yoga Pod through our website. Our hope is that, through the pages of this site, you may glean at least a small sense of what we’re all about.
Our beautiful studios are designed to create an environment where excellent instruction and a transformational yoga experience will entice you to visit often, lingering before and after class to interact with our wonderful community of students and teachers.
We’re striving to redefine fitness with transformational yoga that celebrates diversity, promotes friendship, and builds a strong community. We offer classes to suit all levels – for beginning students and intermediate to advanced practitioners. We believe that there is no perfect body type and that sustained fitness comes from an understanding of how body, mind, & spirit work together to build connection, commitment, and community.
We truly feel that our yoga room is the canvas and our students and teachers are the color and the art that completes the masterpiece.
Everyone is welcome and we’d love to see you!
We hope you join our vibrant yoga community!

My love of yoga started about 15 years ago while pregnant with my first child. I felt a freedom in my body at a time when it was most restricted. My teachers guided me to experience the connection between the mind, the body, and breath that allowed me to dissolve the optional stress that I had placed on myself. After diving into a 500 hour year long Advanced Yoga Study and multiple other training programs, I began to teach in 2009 to share the gift that I had been given. I love the challenge of understanding individual needs of students bodies and how to incorporate the other aspects of yoga that lead them closer to the stillness they seek to relieve stress. I love looking for ways to guide students back to the present moment and encourage classroom practice into daily living where the ordinary turns into extraordinary. I’m passionate about people, yoga, my home town of Reno, and the combination of them all together to form community. I hope that I personally get to meet each and every one of you who step through the door!

I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona with two sisters who mean the world to me. Growing up, we spent a lot of times outdoors and in nature, but as we grew older, I found a very strong draw to computers and their ability to help solve big problems. After many years working in IT, the usual complications of staying healthy and connected to the earth crept up on me and in 2010 I realized some things needed to change. I found myself drawn to running for the first time in my life and found that a great way to get outside and get in my head. But when the muscle tightness from running followed, I realized a simple stretching regimen, just wouldn’t be enough for me. This led me to yoga and I have found so much more in my practice then I ever expected.
When I met my wife Joanna, I introduced her to the unconditional love of dogs and she introduced me to the challenging and rewarding life of an entrepreneur. We have been partners in business and life for five amazing years and look forward to many more. No adventure we have been on has been more exciting than the one we are about to undertake, with all of you. We couldn’t be more thrilled to bring Yoga Pod to Reno at The Summit and can’t say enough about the beautiful people and partners we have found in Yoga Pod.

First and foremost I am a “Dog Mom” to my three, four-legged children: Howie, Sookie and Yadi. I share my Dog Mom duties with my husband, John Reynolds, to whom I’ve been married for five years. I am passionate about reaching optimal health and helping others do the same. Since 2002 my career has been health-focused. I am an entrepreneur who believes in dreaming big, American ingenuity and hard work.
I first discovered yoga around 2005, taking classes at my local gym. A few years later I started to understand the transformational benefits of yoga in my life. When I developed an integrative medical center in Arizona in 2009 I incorporated a yoga studio within the business.
In 2013 my husband and I moved from Scottsdale, Arizona to Reno, Nevada to be closer to my family. We quickly realized that yoga studios were not as prolific in Reno as they were in Scottsdale. The closest studio to our home was a 25-minute drive one way. We saw a great need to bring yoga to our community. We let a year pass, hoping someone would open a studio. When no one did, we decided it would be up to us.
We searched for the right yoga franchise partner. When we found Yoga Pod, met the team, learned their values and their vision – we knew it was a perfect fit. We are so excited to bring transformation to our community through yoga.
Simply the Best!
I love the expert teachers, and array of classes available throughout the day. I can always find a class that fits into my schedule, which is so nice. The studio itself is also clean, comfortable, and enlivening. So glad to be a Pod member!
